Tom, playing off a 17 handicap, got off to a fast start and was level par after six holes. He completed the first nine holes with 25 points on his card.

A steady 18 points over the inward nine secured a one shot victory over 4 handicapper Peter Rolston from Shandon Park Golf Club who produced a fantastic round of 68 (2 under par) for 42 points and second place.

In third spot was Will Barker on 42 points; fourth was Joe Sandford on 41 points; fifth was David Brighton and 40 points while sixth place went to Gordon Haire (Helens Bay) 40 points.

Best gross winner was Gareth Thompson with 71 and Juvenile Prize winner was Jamie Donaldson 41 points.

The July Medal on Thursday July 2 was won by Andrew Fitzsimons who carded a fine 64; second was Gavin Lynass 65; third David Malone 65.

Gross winner was Bryan Harvey 72.

The Wednesday Sweep week 13, sponsored by Gary’s Bar, winner was Craig Black 34 pts.
