Kirkistown focus

DRIVERS can visit the North Armagh Motor Club website for regulations and entry forms ahead of the forthcoming Northern Ireland Rally Championship programme.

Alternatively, contact Simon Fullerton on 07745891227.

The North Armagh-promoted Eurocables (Belfast) Stages, round one of the Carryduff Forklift MSA Northern Ireland Stage Rally Championship and round two of the McGrady Insurance Junior 1000 Rally Challenge Ireland should provide race fans with plenty of thrills on Saturday, February 16 at Kirkistown.

It will mark a return to the position of title sponsor by Eurocables (Belfast) since 2009.

“We’re delighted to have Shane Braniff and Eurocables Belfast back on board as title sponsor,” said clerk of the course, William Fullerton. “Shane has long been a supporter.”

Portadown’s Ben Crealey – now with his focus on the Scottish Junior Championship – was an interested spectator at the recent first-round outing in the McGrady Insurance-sponsored Rally Challenge Ireland programme.

The New Year Stages Rally meeting at Kirkistown presented seven junior drivers – covering areas such as Castlederg, Lisburn, Belfast, Crumlin, Finaghy and Moira – with an opportunity to post points on the board before the North Armagh-promoted date.
