TANDRAGEE’S Garth Neill produced an impressive drive recently at Mondello Park.

The Rallysport Association Winter Series-promoted outing presented Neill with a challenge in the 1400cc car.

However, the 15-year-old ace adjusted to the advanced machine with an encouraging runner-up category placing.

The field featured a number of adult drivers but Neill’s winter work on upgrading his car with a fresh gearbox and engine certainly proved beneficial.

Neill was helped by two mechanics from the area - Mark Johnston and Simon Johnston - to prepare the Vauxhall Nova for future tests.

Neill will now aim to build on his progress across two days at Mondello Park with an Aghadowey outing on Saturday, February 16.
