Familiar territory

TENNIS PORTADOWN picked up a third consecutive draw in the Floodlit League Division Three campaign following a recent trip to take on Donaghadee.

The visit to North Down resulted in a 2-2 tally at the close of play, providing Portadown A with an all-too-familiar outcome.

The next challenge, another road trip, presents a test against CIYMS as Portadown A push for a first league victory this season.

Portadown B players were set to play host to Bangor at Edenvilla Park on Monday night in Division Four but adverse weather conditions forced a postponement.

As a result, Portadown B now sit with two fixtures to be rearranged on top of the two on the forthcoming schedule.

Tomorrow (Saturday) will mark Portadown’s opening Winter League commitments, with the men and ladies on court – the former away to Windsor and the latter home to Civil Service.
