TENNIS PORTADOWN players recently wrapped up two Floodlit League fixtures inside the space of four days.

The A squad travelled to take on Cavehill before facing CIYMS.

Portadown lost out to Cavehill by 3-1 in the side’s first defeat across six games.

The CIYMS meeting ended with honours even at 2-2.

As a result, Portadown sit with one win, a defeat and five draws.

Two games remain on the forthcoming schedule for the A team.

Portadown B will meet Bangor C on Sunday in the final fixture of the campaign, aiming to improve on the current record of one win.

In the men’s Winter League, Portadown recorded a 2-0 victory over Windsor. Tomorrow (Saturday) Windsor will arrive at Edenvilla Park.

The ladies, fresh from a blank weekend, will visit Hilden.

PORTADOWN Tennis Club’s latest quiz night has been scheduled for tonight (Friday). Everyone is welcome to attend the fun in Portadown Golf Club from 7.30, with the entry fee £5.
