TENNIS PORTADOWN players enjoyed success during the latest Mixed League programme.

The A side played host to a combined Newry/Warrenpoint team and registered midweek victory by 8-0.

The B players also met Newry/Warrenpoint and wins over three of the first four mixed doubles placed Portadown up by 3-1.

The visitors to Edenvilla Park hit back over the doubles to sit 4-4 at the close.

Portadown A will enjoy a blank programme during the next round of games, with the B side home to Lurgan.

In the Men’s Evergreen League, Portadown next take on Cavehill tonight (Friday).
