IN the mid week matches this week the U13s recorded a 1-0 win against Glenavon and the U15s notched up their 11th win in their last 12 National League games with a comfortable 4-0 win over Carrick Rangers Colts.
The U14s were unlucky not to reach the quarters of the NIBFA Cup when a last minute goal saw them lose to Sunnyside 2-1 at Lurgan in what was a great advert for youth football.

And on Saturday the under 13s continue to impress with yet another vic
tory which sees them further climb the table with a good home win in the National League against St Mary's.

The 17s resurrected their title challenge in the final 10 minutes to win 2-1 against Carrick Rangers. The 10s meanwhile will be disappointed after dropping two points in a three all draw with North Belfast whilst Linfield got the better of the 14s and 16s in their ties.

UNDER-10

Carniny 3, North Belfast 3: Carniny keeper Reid saved a penalty inside the opening five minutes and, inspired by this, Dawkins played a lovely ball over the Belfast defence for Stewart to give Carniny the lead on 15 minutes.

Almost straight from the restart, the lead was doubled asYoung hit a shot which deflected off a defender and spun into the net.

Belfast pulled a goal back but three minutes later Carniny restored their two goal advantage after a superb run down the left wing by Neilly who squared the ball for Young to score his second with a simple tap in.

The break came for Belfast when they broke from midfield and their striker scored in the 40th minute, and despite calls for offside the referee let the goal stand. Then the referee awarded a free kick to North Belfast on the 18 yard line. Reid saved the initial shot, but the referee asked for a retake and from the second attempt they equalised.

Carniny: Reid, Neilly, Marshall, McDonnell, McHenry, Young, Leetch, Lemon, Dawkins, Stewart, Wyllie, Apsley, Shaw, Lennon.

UNDER-13

Carniny 1, Glenavon 0: The decisive moment in a brilliant Carniny performance camei nside the opening 10 minutes when Jonathan Cummings grabbed the crucial goal from a Connell Lemon cross.

Carniny: Gillespie, Kirk, McClean, McNiece, A Graham, Nixon, D Graham, Bonnes, Lemon, Calderwood, Cummings, Gamble, Barr.

Carniny 3, St Mary's 1: A ball struck into the box by Jonathan Cummings set David Calderwood up to finish making it 1-0 after 5 minutes.
