Christmas in harmony at Market Place Theatre

No Christmas would be complete without a concert by Armagh’s very own popular a cappella group. So ‘Cantilena’ will herald the festive season in their own inimitable style at The Market Place Theatre in Armagh this month. As usual, the programme will combine arrangements of well-known traditional carols and popular Christmas songs in close harmony.

The first part of the evening tells the Christmas story from Advent to the visit of The Three Kings, while the second covers the more secular side of the season. Early booking is strongly recommended for the ever-popular performance.

Christmas With Cantilena will take place on Wednesday 17th December at 8pm. Tickets are priced £18 and £16 [concession]. The ticket price includes a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie.

And the musical entertainment doesn’t end there. With the option to enjoy a wonderful supper and great jazz music, or simply come along for the music, their Jazz Supper Club leaves you spoilt for choice. Taking centre stage for this evening will be the hugely popular Martello Jazz Band who feature a sound reminiscent of the Dixieland bands of 1920’s New Orleans, stamped with their own brand of drive and flair.

The Jazz Supper Club will take place on Friday 19th December at 8.30pm. Tickets are priced £10 or £20 [with supper].
