Kids urged to get cracking on Easter competition

Schools across Mid and East Antrim are be encouraged to participate in the Council’s recycling Easter Egg decorating competition.

There will be limited number of eggs available across the borough with five for Ballymena area schools.

The eggs will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. The closing date for schools to express their interest is 5pm on Friday, March 13. The egg that has to be decorated measures 1.2 metres tall and 70cm wide. The aim is to decorate it with bright colours, including recyclable materials. The eggs will need to be dropped off at one of the Household Recycling centres by Friday, April 3 - Waveney Road in Ballymena. The eggs will be judged by a Council panel.
