Lisburn woman (49) dies after Glenavy Road incident

A 49-year-old Lisburn woman has died following a report of an incident at a house at Glenavy Road at around 7.30am on Tuesday (May 20).

The woman was admitted to Belfast’s Royal Victoria Hospital’s intensive care unit for treatment of burn injuries.

A 48-year-old man was also treated as a result of the incident but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Police are working to establish exactly what happened and are appealing for information or for anyone who was in the area at around 7.30am on Tuesday to contact them on the non-emergency number, 101.
