Bookstart 2012 coming to local libraries
LIBRARIES NI has announced a programme of events to celebrate Bookstart 20, in libraries in the borough.
Bookstart is celebrating 20 years of the world-renowned reading programme which gifts free books to children aged up to four and since Bookstart began in 1992, an impressive 30 million free books have been gifted.
Local libraries will be holding ‘party-themed’ Rhythm and Rhyme sessions for young children during National Bookstart Week.
These will take place in Portrush Library on Monday, June 11 at 10.45am; Coleraine Library on Friday, June 15 at 10.30am; and Portstewart Library on Friday, June 15 at 11.00am.
