Enjoy a festive tipple with Bridie

The festive season is well and truly under way, and people are being invited to come along to Theatre at The Mill to sample some Christmas comedy.

Martin Lynch & GBL Productions’ one woman show ‘A Christmas Night With George’ opens at the Newtownabbey venue on December 18.

Bridie Murphy, aka actress Donna O’Connor, takes the audience through Christmas tales of past and present, with hilarious highs and some ultimate lows, from a poor childhood where all she got was an apple in a stocking, to getting married and her first sexy underwear.

Join Bridie as she sits down with a Belfast Martini (Vodka and Coke) and her cardboard cutout of George Clooney and reminisces about Christmases filled with turkeys that looked more like starved pigeons, over the top Christmas lights that could probably be seen from outer space and Christmas toys that came with instructions that would confuse even a NASA engineer.

‘A Christmas Night With George’ is a powerful and provocative new comedy which will take the audience on a roller-coaster ride of Bridie’s life. With its all-important razor sharp black Belfast humour, this hilarious night of theatre is sure to leave everyone wishing that they too could spend A Christmas Night With George!

The show runs from Tuesday, December 18 to Saturday, January 5. Tickets priced from £16 are selling fast and are available from the box office on 9034 0202 or online at www.theatreatthemill.com
