These internationally renowned performers will be supported throughout the three days by the Ulster Scots Agency Juvenile Pipe Band, the Co. Antrim and Derry Fiddlers Association and local musicians, including a special Gatherin’ ensemble which will see musicians of different traditions come together to perform a selection of regional songs.

The festival – a contemporary celebration of traditional music from across the isles – will take place in various locations across Ballymena, including The Braid Arts Centre, the multi-story car park of the Fairhill Centre, Joe’s Barber shop in Harryville and even the JTI factory floor.

It has been organised by Ballymena Borough Council as part of the Creative Citizens programme and in conjunction with the Royal Scottish Pipe Bands Northern Ireland Branch (RSPBANI).

Tickets are now on sale at The Braid Arts Centre Box Office on 028 2563 5900. For more information, please visit: www.gatherinoftheisles.com
