A special evening of Country Gospel Music is being held at Armagh Road Presbyterian Church on Friday March 27.

The star attractions are the five-piece band ‘Live Issue’ and the guest artiste is singer Laura Dowey – it’s a full County Armagh line-up.

Bleary-based ‘Live Issue’ are one of Ireland’s top country groups. They had the honour of being the first country outfit from the Emerald Isle to sing at the famed Grand Ole Opry some years ago, and the second from the British Isles – to an audience of 4,000.

The line-up is – Colin Elliott (leader), Roy Dreaning, Carl Sands, Ivan McLernon and Sam Armstrong, all multi-instrumentalists, with Dreaning the lead singer.

They are complemented by the excellence of Laura Dowey and it promises to be quite an evening. Starting time is 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm) with the entrance donation of £10 (students £5, families £20 and seniors £8).
