Progressive Building Society in Portadown has teamed up with Cancer Fund for Children to inspire budding cooks at home with the launch of its cookery book filled with mouth-watering recipes just in time for Christmas.
Northern Ireland’s largest locally owned financial institution partnered with Cancer Fund for Children in January 2014 and has helped to raise funds for the charity’s new development ‘Daisy Lodge’ by taking part in a range of events and activities throughout the year.
Speaking about the collaboration chief executive Darina Armstrong said, “At Progressive, we are actively involved in all the communities we serve and over the course of the year our employees have supported Cancer Fund for Children through a number of fundraising activities. Staff from across the 12 branches have really got behind the cookery book initiative and we felt that this would be an excellent way of sharing our most tried and tested recipes with our member’s whilst also raising funds for Cancer Fund for Children.
“We hope our customers enjoy preparing the range of recipes and at only £5 it makes the perfect Christmas stocking present.”
Cancer Fund for Children offers practical and emotional support to children, teenagers and young adults aged 0-24 living with cancer as well as their parents, guardians and siblings.
