Portadown dance teacher Kim Bailie is celebrating the first anniversary in her new dance studio at High Street Mall.

Kim, who previously held her classes in Portadown Town Hall, said the new venue had proven very popular.

The dance school is also celebrating pupils’ success in exams and medal tests.

Among them is Bonnie-Louise Driscoll (17) who passed her Advanced Foundation in Ballet, which qualifies her to act as a provisional teachers for three years with the British Theatre Dance Association.

Meanwhile, Emily Buller (18) has been accepted into the Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge to study performing arts, following a successful audition.

Other pupils have gone on to dance professionally abroad while former pupil Ursula McConville is a teacher in the Coastal Ballet School in Drogheda.

The Kim Bailie School of Dance teaches ballet, modern and tap and takes children from aged three upward in its baby ballet classes.

Kim is currently taking names for September enrolment. She can be contacted on 07810734370.
