Ulidia pupils making a difference to lives in Madagascar
Ulidia Integrated College Year 10 pupils have helped bring clean drinking water to the small village of Ambalamanenjana, Madagascar. What started as a discussion last November between teachers, Miss Guéret and Mrs Patterson, turned into a successful eco project involving 100 Year 10 pupils in both learning and in fundraising for the £1500 needed to build a borehole in a small village as part of the Global Dimension targets of the Eco School programme. It resulted in Year 10 pupils handing over a cheque for £1500 to Gavin Lonegan from the Adsum Foundation which will see that the borehole built and ready for September.
