128 sex offenders living in North West
OVER 100 rapists and paedophiles are currently housed in the North West.Last month a trawl of the PSNI Public Protection Unit sex offenders register revealed 128 were living in the Londonderry, Limavady, Strabane and Magherafelt areas - the PSNI's G District.
The amount of sex offenders living in the area was the third highest in Northern Ireland after B District (176) and D District (132). There were, on August 18, 965 registered sex offenders housed in Northern Ireland in total.
The statistics were released in response to a Freedom of Information request.
