59 waiting six months for ENT

Fifty-nine people had been waiting for an appointment with an ear, nose and throat doctor in the Western Trust at the end of February, the Health Minister Simon Hamilton has revealed.

A further 239 people had been waiting between 18 and 26 weeks; 1,080 had been waiting between nine and 18 weeks; and 1,476 had been waiting up to nine weeks.

The ENT waiting list includes patients waiting for consultant-led, GP-led and nurse-led services.

There were 822 children under the age of 16 years waiting at the end of February.
