Brave Praxis Care worker Pauline Heslip is feeling the cold this week having had her head shaved for charity.
Pauline, a team leader with the Thomas Street charity, went under the razor at a coffee morning last Thursday, raising more than £1,200.
The majority of the money will go to Southern Area Hospice and a donation to Praxis Care.
Pauline has also sent her hair off to the Little Princess Trust which helps children with cancer.
The event included a raffle with prizes donated by many local businesses.
Pauline decided to organise the event after one of the service users recently spent some time in the hospice. She said, “We were all very impressed with the standard of care she received and also the support given to her partner and children by the hospice staff so this was an opportunity to give something back.
