A 21-year-old man who caused damage estimated at £3,600 was told to have a ‘substantial amount of money’ when he next appeared in court if he wanted to avoid going to jail.
John Patrick James King, whose address was given as Carrigart, Craigavon, admitted assaulting a man on August 12 this year and criminal damage to a car belonging to the injured party.
He also pleaded guilty to criminal damage to a window and garden furniture.
A prosecutor said last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court that the estimate for damage to the car was £3,000.
The estimated damage to the garden furniture was £500 and £100 for the window.
District Judge, Mrs Bernie Kelly, adjourned sentencing until January 2.
“I expect King to attend with a substantial amount of money if he wants to avoid prison,” she said.
