Aghadowey WI hold monthly meeting
Vice-President Rhoda Pollock welcomed members to the April Meeting of Aghadowey WI.
After business Rhoda introduced George and Friends. They played a variety of musical instruments, including guitar, banjo and accordion. They entertained us for the next hour with songs and recitation, encouraging members to join in the singing. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and time passed quickly. Anne Ramsay proposed the vote of thanks to the group for a very entertaining evening.
Members enjoyed a delicious supper provided by tea-hostesses Anne Kennedy and Wilma Irwin. The competition was a musical quiz organized by Wilma Irwin and was won by Ann McIlfatrick, with Kathleen Owens second.
The evening finished with the singing of the Countrywoman’s Song.
