Plans for the popular, annual May Day fete and auction run by 1st Ahorey Boys’ Brigade are well under way.
This will be the 32nd year of the event which is being held in Ahorey Church Hall and grounds on Monday.
The fete starts at 2pm and the auction at 3pm.
Around 300 items have already been donated for the auction and items are still being accepted up until tomorrow (Saturday) when the hall will be open between 6-9pm.
Stalls will include books, flowers and plants, cakes, bric-a-brac and nearly new clothes, while children’s entertainment will consist of a big slide, bouncy castle and side shows. Refreshments will also be on sale.
The entrance fee is £2 for adults with children free, and the price includes a ticket for the auction.
BB Captain Tom McMurray said items to be auctioned range from furniture, ornaments and china to children’s toys and bikes, with people coming from as far away as Belfast and Sixmilecross.
Proceeds go to BB funds.
