The court heard that Martin was a passenger in a car stopped by police on the Dungannon Road, Portadown, on January 16 this year.

Inquiries revealed there was no valid insurance for the vehicle.

Mr Joe McDonald, representing the defendant, said the vehicle had just been purchased by Martin for £300.

He added that his client thought his friend had a licence and asked him to drive the car back to his home.
