Avid charity worker Eddie Drury is on the move again – this time to the Iberian Peninsula where he plans to walk over 100km as part of the gruelling Camino Trek.
The trek in its entirety covers about 800km in Portugal and Spain, and this is Eddie fourth ‘bite’ at the walk of which he has covered just under half.
In the process, so far, he has raised £15,000 for the Southern Area Hospice in Newry.
The hospice will again benefit when Eddie sets off on August 6 for his latest episode. And as a pre-fund raiser, he is hosting a coffee evening in Portadown’s new Tin House Café at Market Street.
The event will take place on Friday July 8 starting at 7pm and everyone is invited to help a worthy cause. Music is by Paul Silcock.
In Septmber, former postman Eddie, had walked 135 kilometres for charity through the tortuous Pyrenees for the Southern Area Hospice.
On that occasion he raised a stunning £5,500 for his cherished charity.
The five-day walk was the second phase of a five-year plan by the charity foot soldier.
