A man has been arrested after an assault in the Stramore Road area of Gilford on Sunday, August 23.
A 50-year-old man sustained injuries to his face and head in the attack which took place at approximately 7pm.
He was taken to hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Police arrested the 33-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He was later released on bail pending further police enquiries.
Constable Lynda Dunlop said, “I would appeal to anyone who may have been in the Stramore Road area around this time and who may have witnessed this assault to contact police at Lurgan on the non-emergency number 101.
