Assault on youngsters

Around 4.30pm a number of teenagers were playing in the street when a man approached them from the alleyway close to Russell Drive.

Police said a verbal altercation took place before the man assaulted two boys aged 12 and 14.

The two received cuts and bruising.

The man was described as being 51 to 52 years old, around 5ft 9in tall, of slim build with sparse, short, grey, spiky hair.

He spoke with a local accent and was wearing a grey t-shirt, red shorts and was barefoot.
