The event, on Saturday and Sunday July 18 and 19, will see performances by Bleary and District Pipe Band - 2014 Champions of Champions and 2015 UK, British and All Ireland Champions.
St Mary’s and Marlacoo Pipe Bands will also be making an appearance on Sunday’s line-up of entertainment. Senior drum major Andrea Gibson will lead the display of drum majors, many of whom hold awards right up to world championship levels.
Dogs are invited along, too, with Westies and Scotties having their own parade. This is their opportunity to impress the judge and take home a prize, sponsored by Pets at Home, Craigavon.
On Sunday, piping judge Harry Stevenson will facilitate a number of talks and play tunes from a past era. This is a key event of the afternoon and will be held in the Birkenhead Room.
Event organiser Ian Matchett said, “The 2014 event at The Argory was a phenomenal success with over 2,000 visitors on site. With such a huge increase in visitor numbers, we decided to run the event over two days to ensure everyone has the opportunity to come to Argory Tartan.
“The event is not just for musicians and we are encouraging anyone who would like to get involved to get in touch via our Facebook page, Argory Tartan.”
The event has been made possible by support from ABC Council and Charles Hurst Vauxhall, Portadown.
Argory Tartan will take place from 12-5. Admission is adult: £5.25, child: £2.50, family: £13. National Trust members are free. For further information visit facebook.com/argorytartan or call 028 8778 4753.
