Call to tackle fly-tipping
Cllr Charlie Johnston made the comments at Monday nights meeting of the Environmental Services Committee, with members informed that 15 incidents of illegal dumping had been reported in December.
The report also noted that most of the incidents involved the dumping of household items and did not provide any way of identifying the perpetrators.

Hide Ad“The problem of fly-tipping is getting much worse, particularly in areas like Love Lane and Beltoy Road,” Cllr Johnston said.
“Action needs to be taken; are we scared to go forward with prosecutions for this?”
