Centra staff bring Super Saturday to Ballinderry

‘Super Saturday’ dawned in Ballinderry at the weekend as the local Centra store staged a fundraising event in aid of Action Cancer.

A spokesperson said: “During the event mystery prices were won throughout the day as well as competitions and ballot draws being entered.

“Entertainment was provided by balloon sculptures, face-painting and local world champion hotrod racer John Christie exhibiting his car.

“Staff embraced the occasion with fancy dress while local suppliers - including Golden Cod, Meadow bakery, and Sian Early Beauty, to name a few - gave tastings and prizes. Staff nominated for ice-bucket challenges decided to do it as a group on the day.

“Centra Ballinderry thanks all those who came along to help make it a success, especially staff for all their hard work.” In total £2,500 was raised for Action Cancer.”
