A motorist who collided with the rear of a taxi in Lurgan was fined £75 last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for driving without due care and attention on March 3 this year.
Maria Morant de Leungo, whose address was given as Woodville Street, Lurgan, was also given three penalty points and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.
The court heard that at 2am a two vehicle accident happened in Edward Street in Lurgan.
The defendant collided with the rear of a taxi.
There was minor damage to the taxi and no injuries were reported at the time.
However, four days later the taxi driver reported to police that he had suffered some muscle injury.
A solicitor representing the defendant said the taxi had stopped at lights and she had been distracted.
Deputy District Judge Neil Rafferty said it was a minor tail end collision.
