A Lurgan man was given 140 hours community service last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for drugs offences.

Lee Campbell (21), Trasna Way, Lurgan, admitted possession of herbal cannabis and possession of mephadrone on January 20 this year. The court heard that during a search of his home one gram of herbal cannabis worth £10 and one gram of white powder worth £20 was found.

Judge, Mervyn Bates, said Campbell had previous convictions for assault on police, disorderly behaviour and theft which could not be ignored.
