Appeal on armed robbery
Detectives in Strand Road are appealing for information following the report of an Armed Robbery that occurred yesterday, Tuesday, February 5.
At approximately 8.25pm a female was walking along the Peace Bridge towards the Waterside when she was robbed at knife point. A male approached her from behind and made off with her handbag. The male then ran towards Foyle Street where it is believed he got into a taxi and was dropped off in Great James Street. He is believed to have been wearing a blue tracksuit top.
The female did not sustain any injuries, however she was left very badly shaken.
Police would ask anyone who saw any male acting suspiciously in the area or anyone who has any information about this incident to contact Detectives in Strand Road
