“I have spoken with the officers attending who report there has been alcohol present and there were in excess of 30 kids. We have also stopped children flying around the same area on scramblers.

“Those who have been stopped on the scramblers were committing criminal offences and will be dealt with appropriately. They are not toys and are made for off-road use only.

“This does not mean that they can be driven anywhere. They can only be driven on private land and where the landowner has given permission to do so. Please have some respect for each other.”
