Police seized a quantity of controlled drugs during search operations at two properties in the Macedon area of Newtownabbey yesterday (Tuesday).

Detailing the operation in a post on social media on June 28, a PSNI spokesperson said: “Thiis morning as part of #OpDealbreaker, colleagues from Antrim and Newtownabbey investigating the attempted import of controlled drugs conducted searches of two properties in Macedon.

“During the operation, further controlled drugs were located, seized and now form part of the investigation.

“Addiction and drug misuse impact greatly on vulnerability in our community. If you, or someone close to you is having issues, please seek help from your local community addictions team.”
