False claim
A man was convicted at Limavady Magistrates’ court today (Wednesday) for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.
Ronan McElhinney (37) of Mountainview Park, Dungiven was given a conditional discharge for two years and ordered to pay court costs of £22 for wrongful encashment of Jobseekers Allowance totalling £595. McElhinney has since repaid in full the money he wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
