Four fined for failing to self isolate

Four people in Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area were issued with £1,000 fines for failing to isolate, according to the latest PSNI figures relating to Covid-19 regulations.

A total of 100 Community Resolution Notices were issued since March.

Police have also issued 97 penalty notices to individuals, and three prohibition notices to licensed premises or for restriction of gatherings in a private dwelling.

The police released the figures on Monday as part of their weekly update on policing the regulations.

Across Northern Ireland police have now issued a total of 3,118 notices which includes 45 fines of £1,000 for failure to self-isolate.

They have also issued 81 Commercial and 319 Private Prohibition Notices to licensed premises or for restriction of gatherings in a private dwelling.
