Intruders fail to gain entry to elderly woman's home

They say that fortunately entry was not gained to the 84-year-old's dwelling in the Dungannon area in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Police said in a social media post that the incident shows that criminals are still out and about intent on causing harm.

"Even if you are in your home, remember to secure it at all times. Look out for each other and as always report anything that doesn't seem just right. We will be more than happy to respond," the post reads.
