A Lurgan man who was arrested by police investigating an under-car bomb left for a married police couple in Derry, has been released unconditionally.
A 57-year-old man was detained in the Lurgan area on Tuesday.
Police confirmed on Wednesday he was freed without charge.
No one was injured in the incident last Thursday after police were alerted to suspicious activity at the house in the Glenrandel area of Eglinton at around 2.45am and discovered the explosive device.
The two officers, a husband and wife, who live at the address were both at home at the time.
Police described the attempted bomb attack as a “cold-blooded attempt to murder”.
The recovered device was said to be capable of causing death or serious injury and 15 homes were evacuated while the area was cordoned off.
