Man (23) arrested after ‘serious assault’

A man has been arrested after another man suffered ‘facial injuries’ in what police describe as a ‘serious assault’ last night.

The incident happened in Craigavon early last night at the Meadowbrook and Tullygally East Road junction.

Inspector Alwyn Peters said: “Shortly after 8pm we received a report of an assault convenient to the Meadowbrook area of Craigavon.

“One man sustained facial injuries during the attack and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Five cows killed in early morning crash.

“A 23-year-old man has been arrested under suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remains in custody for questioning.
