A male, who was arrested after a man was attacked in Antrim at the weekend, has been released on bail “to allow for further enquiries.”

A PSNI spokesperson said: “A 26-year-old man arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, has been released on police bail to allow for further enquiries."

The man was arrested following a report that a man sustained a wound to his ear after being attacked in Antrim on Saturday, December 17.
