PSNI disperse 50 young people at anti-social behaviour hotspot

Police have dispersed around 50 young people amid complaints of anti-social behaviour in areas of Portadown.

The PSNI said alcohol was seized and names were taken during an operation today (Thursday June 25).

A PSNI spokesperson said: “In response to complaints received today we visited areas of Portadown where anti social behaviour was alleged along with criminal damage to property.

“We dispersed about 50 young people after seizing and disposing of alcohol and recording names.

“The dangers associated with drunkenness in young people are many.

“If you are the parent of a teenager please have a conversation with them about their behaviour and responsibilities to themselves and others when they are out and about.

“We don’t want young people to become one of our statistics.”
