Cullybackey speed problem revealed
A survey has clearly demonstrated that many motorists are driving far too fast on roads leading to Cullybackey village. The problem was brought into sharp focus after Cllr Timothy Gaston requested speed counter trials to ascertain the extent of the problem.
Cllr. Gaston said: “Upon completion it was evident motorists were frequently going well above the speed limit. We paid particular attention to the Cullybackey, Old Cullybackey and Fenagh Roads. I’ve had site visits with Transport NI in these locations which will hopefully lead to anti-speeding measures being put in place. However, it will take a joined up approach with PSNI and members of the public to make the routes safe.”
