Culmore pupilsexplore the NWcoast on trip
For some of the children, the train journey was a new experience. For others, it was their first overnight away from home. The first day was spent at the Giant’s Causeway and Ballintoy. The group got lots of exercise, enjoyed stories and learned about rocks and volcanoes.
Jack (Y7) said: “It was a long walk but it was worth it.” James (Y6) thought the view from the top was beautiful. Jude was fascinated by how the rocks were formed.

Lauren (Y7) said: “Collecting shells was such fun; most of us love art.” Owen (Y6) liked learning about the history of the Martello Tower and how it was built to defend the Foyle from Napoleon. A night spent away from home is always exciting.
Conor (Y6) said “You could sleep with your friends, like a sleepover. We whispered in our room.” Grace (Y7) commented “The rooms were fun, sharing with our friends. We all ate sweets.” Turn over to Page 22 for more photos.
