Armagh is bracing itself for the biggest ever Culture Night, which kicks off across the city on Friday, September 18.
This year brings a jam-packed and vibrant programme of over 100 events to 30 venues in the area - with art, readings, workshops, demonstrations, tours, music, dance, drama, exhibitions, and lots more family fun!
Despite its name, Culture Night begins at 10am on the Friday morning, with ‘Doh Ray Me’ music classes for babies in The Market Place Theatre. At 1pm, Cairde Teo will lead a bi-lingual tour of Iron-Age Armagh, meeting at Armagh City Hotel.
The evening’s events begin at 5:45pm with a Hip Hop Dance School on the Theatre Veranda in The Market Place. Between 6pm and 11pm, over 100 events will take place across the city and district. A few highlights include tours of the Armagh Gaol, school performances at the Market Place, martial arts, yoga, and solo musicians in cafes around the city.
Poyntzpass will also host over 20 events. All details can be found in the Culture Night programme at www.marketplacearmagh.com
