A man who stole £500 from his employer was given a suspended prison sentence on Monday, December 22, at Craigavon Court.
Patrick Langley (55), Killyruddan Road, Hamiltonsbawn, admitted theft of money from Mahon Garden Centre between September 16 and 26.
He was sentenced to three months in prison, suspended for 12 months.
The court heard there were incidents of theft which were caught on CCTV. Langley had repaid the money.
A defence barrister said a pre-sentence report was helpful. Langley had made restitution and pleaded guilty from the outset.
District Judge, Mrs Bernie Kelly, said that the defendant had said no to community service so she could impose an order.
She said breach of trust was an aggravating feature and said there was only one penalty she could impose.
