Introduced by Chairman Geoff Robinson, Dr Curran’s lively discourse referred to the McNaughtons, the Leslies, Colvilles and the Hutchinsons all well-known landlords in the Ballymoney area in years gone by.

After the presentation members had an opportunity to finalise their Membership (£15 per annum), and pay a fee of £3 to take part in a variety of activities being organised over the summer months. Some 50 members already have taken advantage of what is on offer.

U3A is aimed at retired and semi-retired people who would like to make friends, take part in activities, or listen to speakers of interest. The main aim is to have fun and enjoyment! If you have a hobby or skill which you could pass onto others, and wish to lead an activity, please contact as above.
