Call all goes out for provision of a bottle-bank in Dromara

A call has gone out for the provision of a bottle-bank in Dromara, whose residents currently have to travel to neighbouring towns or throw empty bottles into their household bins.

The call comes from Lagan Valley MLA Basil McCrea, who said: “We need to have adequate cover for other waste materials that can’t be put into recycling bins collected from our homes.

“Villages such as Dromara should have bottle-banks to make recycling easier for residents, especially people who use public transport. It’s not fair to expect anyone to travel by bus with empty bottles.”
