Call to ‘stand down’ traffic wardens during lockdown

There’s been a call to remove the Parking Attendants in town centres during the current lockdown.

Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart made the call claiming they have nothing to actually monitor.️

In a social media post Mrs Lockhart said: “I have asked the Infrastructure Minister to consider, immediately standing down the traffic wardens in our town centres during this six week lockdown.

“Our towns are dead and what little footfall there is it is essential that people are not fearful of getting a ticket.
