'˜Fatal consequences' warning after man and children on rail line
Following Tuesday’s incident, North Coast PSNI warned of the potentially “fatal consequences of using railway lines as a shortcut”.
They added: “It is a breach of bye-laws and can cause the train lines can be closed resulting in passenger delays.”

Hide AdBetween the beginning of April and the end of August there were 304 recorded incidents of pedestrian rail trespass in Northern Ireland with almost 50 of those taking place on Londonderry line.
Among the most alarming was footage of two pedestrians wandering into the tunnel at Downhill as a train approaches, which featured in a Translink campaign warning of the dangers of rail trespassing.
